Almost silence

We walked - the only sounds
the raven's croak, the oystercatcher's warning cry,
the wigeon's whistle
and the soft tread of our feet across the grass.

    Sometimes, I also walk in what I perceive to be silence, only to realize the sounds of Nature are so pleasingly interwoven that I make them part of the fabric of silence.
